# How to Prepare Your Car Before a Mobile Detail Appointment

When we show up for your mobile detailing appointment, we want to get straight to work. Here are a few simple things you can do beforehand to help us deliver the best possible result.

## 1. Remove Personal Items from the Interior

This is the most important one. Take out anything you don't want moved or cleaned around:

- Loose change, sunglasses, pens, receipts
- Child seats (we'll clean around them if left in, but removal allows us to fully clean the seat beneath)
- Valuables — phones, laptops, wallets
- Gym bags, groceries, and anything in the trunk you want to keep out of the way

We'll still detail around items if needed, but clearing the interior gives us full access to do the best possible job.

## 2. Pick a Shaded Spot if Possible

For exterior work, shade is ideal. Applying wax, ceramic coating, or polish in direct sunlight can cause products to dry too quickly, affecting the result. If you can park under a carport, tree, or on the shaded side of your home, that's helpful — especially for ceramic coating appointments.

That said, we come prepared and can work in most conditions. Don't stress about this too much.

## 3. Make Sure We Have Access to the Vehicle

For mobile service, we need:
- Enough space around the vehicle to move comfortably (about 3–4 feet on each side)
- Access to your driveway, parking spot, or wherever the car is parked
- If your car is in a garage, we prefer to work outside — but can work in a well-ventilated garage if needed

## 4. Let Us Know About Any Problem Areas

If there's a specific stain, scratch, or issue you're concerned about, mention it in your booking notes or tell us when we arrive. We can prioritize those areas and set accurate expectations.

## 5. Make Sure the Car Is Accessible

If your car has a valet key, have it ready. If we're working at your office, make sure we'll have parking access. If you won't be home, leave a note about where we can find the key.

## Day of the Appointment

You don't need to be present the entire time. Most clients go about their normal routine — working from home, running errands, or relaxing — and come back to a clean car. We'll text you when we're done.
